What to expect
QTBIPOC-Centered Grief and Support Circle. This is a QTBIPOC centered space but all QT folks are welcome. If you are white and/or light skinned, please be aware of the space you take up and defer to the BIPOC folks in the room!
The intention of these circles is to provide space for you to:
-Know you’re not alone and have a space to go where people genuinely care about your well-being
-Be present and talk with others navigating grief and family wounds post solstice, Yalda Night & Hanukkah, over Christmas, and at the beginning of Kwanzaa
-Build care plans and practice tools for feeling affirmed in our queerness
**On the last slide we have an ask from Azul. Please consider supporting Azul, an Afro-Indigi trans person, needing our support this holiday season to find safe housing!**
General Structure:
A more detailed agenda will be sent at least one day prior to the first circle! Each circle will be different depending on the emerging needs of the group. The first circle will have space for us to discuss what we are hoping for from the circle. The general structure will be:
Welcome - About the Space (10 minutes)
How are you + other check-in question (15 minutes)
Sharing/journaling/processing space (50 minutes)
Grounding / Close out (15 minutes)
*email hi at laila makled dot net if you have any questions or issues with the sign up form!
