What are some one or two liners that work for you?
1. "There's something that's been on my mind and I feel really vulnerable in bringing up. Is now a good time to share?"
2. "I want to bring up something that has been bothering me about our communication - when would be a good time to talk about it?"
3. "You said something the other day that rubbed me the wrong way and I want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly - can we talk about it?”
4. "The way xyz transpired really did not feel good to me. Are you available to talk about it?"
5. “I'm hoping for some accountability about something you said/did recently that I've been having a hard time moving past. Are you available to talk about that?"
6. "I did not like what you just said."
7. "I don't agree with what you just said."
8. "What you just said really doesn't feel good."
9. "That is not sitting well with me - can you say more about what you mean?
10. "What exactly do you mean when you say xyz?"
11. "What was your intention in saying/doing that?"
